CHIRS Consumer Health Information Resource Service

Need information to guide decisions about your health or the health of a family member or friend The McGoogan Library of Medicine provides such information to Nebraska residents free of charge through their Consumer Health Information Resource Service CHIRS. A Health Sciences Librarian will research your condition and provide a tailored package of information that may include Journal Articles Book Chapters Pamphlets and Web Resources. CHIRS information is provided for informational purposes only. Consult with your health care provider for specific medical questions. To request health information contact CHIRS or email them at or contact your local public library.

Family Voices

Family Voices is a national grassroots network of families and friends speaking on behalf of children with special health care needs.

The Assistive Technology Partnership hosts this housing listing and locator service that will provide easy access to information about housing opportunities throughout Nebraska. The service allows Nebraskans to locate available housing that best fits their needs either through the web site or 1-888-806-6287. Individuals will be able to easily search for housing using a wide variety of search criteria access other helpful websites as well as tools for renters including an affordability calculator a rental checklist and renter rights and responsibilities information - also provides information on supportive services throughout the State especially those services linked to housing needs.
