Young Minds – Our Future 2008

Daniel G. Amen, MD, is a child and adult psychiatrist, brain imaging specialist and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is the CEO and medical director of Amen Clinics, Inc. in Newport Beach, CA; Fairfield, CA; Tacoma, WA and Reston, VA. Dr. Amen will be presenting "Making a Good Brain Great" on April 17 and "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" on April 18, 2008.

Conference Objectives:

  • List five ways you help and hurt your brain
  • Identify seven ways to optimize brain function
  • Describe functions and problems of the prefrontal cortex
  • Discuss functions and problems of the anterior cingulate gyrus
  • Describe functions and problems with the deep limbic and temporal lobes
  • List five ways to optimize brain function

Using the latest, most sophisticated brain imaging technology, scientist and physician Daniel Amen will are an intimate look into the “working brain.”  He will present case histories of real people and discuss anger, attention deficit disorder (ADD), substance use, and other behavioral difficulties.  Learn how persons of all ages can overcome brain challenges and optimize brain function.

Healthcare Professionals are those who require Continuing Education Credits (CEUs or CMEs). Please note that attendance is required both days in order to receive continuing education credit for this conference.

Community Participants are those who do not require CEUs or CMEs (e.g., parents, childcare providers, healthcare or educational professionals not requesting CEUs).
