Medication Aide Refresher Program
In this program, participants will review the Nebraska Medication Aide
Act, identify recent changes to the Nebraska Medication Aide Act, and
identify resources for questions related to medication aides. Participants
will review infection prevention practices and standard precautions and
discuss how to apply each in actual practice. Participants will review
medication aide competencies, acceptable and additional activities,
best practices for documentation and reporting, roles/tasks specific to
medication aide activities and other responsibilities within the assisted
living facility, general survey protocols, and survey readiness tips.
