Nutrition Centers in Western Nebraska

The Aging Office of Western Nebraska (AOWN) administrates a noon meal program throughout the Panhandle of Nebraska. Each meal is prepared to meet one-third of the daily recommended dietary needs of older adults. The meal is of no cost, but a suggested contribution is solicited to help defray the cost of its provision.

To arrange for the Nutrition service please call the site manager at any of the locations listed below. Advance notification is appreciated. All locations serve five days a week.

Congregate Meals: There are 21 site locations throughout the Panhandle. The meal program is a great place to meet and socialize with your friends and participate in other activities.

Home Delivered Meals: For the elderly who are unable to attend the congregate meal program, arrangements can be made to have a meal brought to their home. The service is intended for individuals with physical incapacities which restrict them to being homebound. Not all Nutrition Sites provide this service, but there are other resources available.
