Camp Cosmo
Camp Cosmo is an adventure camp for youth with type I diabetes. The camp, which is sponsored by Regional West Foundation, offers a residential camp for youth 10 to 16 years old. This camp provides a variety of activities at Cedar Canyon Camp and around the Black Hills. It is an experience of fun, learning and friendships.
For more than 20 years, children with Type I diabetes have been learning about their disease in a fun and relaxed environment at Camp Cosmo; over 40 youths experience a hands-on interactive approach to problem solving and managing their diabetes at the camp each year.
The camp focuses on providing educational sessions that will cover a variety of the latest topics in diabetes management including insulin pumps, nutrition, risky behaviors and other topics of interest expresses by the campers.
