One Step at a Time Summer Camp
Swimming in the lake at sunrise, learning to sail, camping out under the stars… these are just some of the memories that many of us have of summer camp. But when a child has cancer, summer camp may seem like one more thing that the child has to give up.
At One Step At A Time summer camp, we give children with cancer and leukemia that chance back; a chance to experience a week or two of carefree fun with other kids just like them.
Located on beautiful Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, One Step At A Time summer camp offers fun and exciting one and two-week programs for children ages 7 to 19. We offer a traditional camp experience for younger children, as well as several special interest camps for older children.
Parents can feel secure in knowing that no matter where their children are in their treatment, they will receive all the medical attention that they require without letting it get in the way of fun. In addition, kids will receive the emotional support and understanding that they can only get from other children facing the same challenges.
